Casual Games with Friends

These games work best when in–person or over a video–call, with little to no need for any tools or equipment. These can also serve
as icebreakers or ways to get to know your friends even better. I have personally used some of these to pass the time, especially on hikes or roadtrips,
and they are a great way to occupy time!

2 Truths 1 Lie

# of Players 2+
Equipment? None

A game of truths and deception. You come up with two truths and one lie about yourself. You must convince others that your truths are the lie or deter
them from picking the lie.

Never Have I Ever

# of Players 3+
Equipment? None

I use fingers to keep count, but you can use whatever to count. Everyone playing starts with the same amount of fingers. Each person goes around and starts
with “Never have I ever…” and they state something that they never done. If others have done, they put a finger down. The last person who still has fingers up
at the end wins.

Pickles or Ice Cream

# of Players 2+
Equipment? None

Pickles or Ice Cream is a collaborative game. One person comes up with a word (preferably a noun). The goal of the other players is to work together to guess
the word. However, you can only guess words by comparing objects. So someone starts off by asking, “Pickles or Ice Cream?”. If the person believes that the
word is more similar to pickles, they say pickles, and vice versa. Once the person chooses between pickles or ice cream, the players start comparing the chosen
word to another object. This keeps going until the players correctly guess the chosen word.

Got It!

# of Players 2
Equipment? None

Got It! is another word association game. Both players think of a word (preferably a noun). Both people say their words at the same time. Then, they think of a
word that is similar or correlates to both words. Once both players are ready, they say their respective words out loud. You cannot repeat the same words from
the previous round. The goal is to say the same word at the same time.

Whose Secret?

# of Players 4+
Equipment? Scratch Paper & Writing Utensil

This requires a little planning. Every person playing comes up with two to three “secrets”. Something that they think none of the other players know about
them. They write it on scratch paper and fold it so it remains anonymous. Afterwards, a secret is randomly chosen and read out loud, and players try to figure
out whose secret belongs to which person. You get a point if you guess correctly, and you get two points if no one guesses your secret correctly.
